We are spiritual beings having a human experience.

I recall the first time I began to decipher those words. A light bulb went off in my mind. As a matter of fact, I dare say all light bulbs went off! Years ago, that would not have been the case; those words would have dissipated like smoke on a windy day. However, as I have continued to turn the pages in the book of my life, the more I yearn to unravel the concept of mind power.  I am powerfully drawn to seek answers for questions like; how can we raise our level of spiritual awareness? Better still, how can we master our thought process?  My searches lead me to profound truths;

  • Everything is created twice; first as an idea which later transmutes itself to its physical equivalent.
  • As a man thinks, so does he become; our thoughts and subsequent actions create our reality.
  • What you focus on, you attract; where the mind goes, the body follows.

 

Our spiritual awareness develops in the mind. It is dependent on what we feed it with, since we become what we think about the most.  You will agree with me that this powerful statement is to be feared and revered at the same time.

This realization empowers us greatly when we consider the magnitude of the power we hold to control everything in our lives! How liberating is it to wake up to the realization that there are no chains holding us back from choosing our stage in life?  On the flip-side, it is highly sobering to know that if we feed our minds with unpleasant thoughts, we set in motion a whirlpool of all things unpleasant.

Once I ascertained that, I delved deeper to find out the dynamics of mastering our mindset, our most powerful faculty.

Think of your mind as a garden that needs to be tendered to. It possesses enormous potential to sustain your livelihood if cultivated. It can usher you to magnificent dimensions. It can also harbor weeds and snakes if neglected, which is detrimental. Sadly, hundreds continue to sink into the pit of hopelessness for not guarding their minds.

The way to safeguard your mind, calls for simple but powerful tweaks. This puts you on a platform to raise your level of awareness and subsequently transforms your life.

 

  1. Become Thought Conscious

Be abreast of what you impress on your mind because it translates to the same when expressed in reality. Disarm the thoughts that do not empower you. Note that resisting negative thoughts only creates more negatives since you attract what you focus on. The sure fire way is to shift your thoughts to something that make you happy. Create a positive thought and dwell on it, with time, you will tip the scale in your mind. The positive thought will take preeminence and attract more of its kind.

 

  1. Create Affirmations

Affirmations are statements that are pregnant with positivism. Such as; I am whole, I am happy, I am strong etc. You may not believe it at first but soon, they become embedded in your mind. This is because your subconscious mind accepts everything you impress upon it. With repetition, affirmations yield the most power. It is through this channel through which they take root in your subconscious.

 

  1. Use Your Imagination

Albert Einstein; Imagination is everything; It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.

Imagination is an integral part in the creative process for it is the canvas that holds your dreams- like the Acorn that carries the Oak.  How phenomenal!  Several minutes of daily visualization sets you on a path to create your future. It is a perfect way to streamline your mind and keeps you from rummaging through your day with scattered thoughts.

 

  1. Read a Powerful Book

A powerful book stirs and empowers you.  It has been said that most people who have attained the pinnacle of success are avid readers.  Self development books open windows in your brains and enlighten you.  These sources of wisdom can alter the dynamics of your habits and eventually transform your life. We all know that darkness dissipates in the face of light. Do you seek to transform your life? A good head start would be to reprogram your mindset by planting acorns in the terrace of your mind.

 

  1. Control Your Environment

Good ambiance and environment have a profound effect on your mind.  Warmth, sunshine, peace, calmness, and tranquility all transmit positive vibes.  Once your mind is at a positive stance, you begin to exude positivism. Get decisive about how you start your day. I personally steer clear of the news especially in the morning.

Did you know that your mind is most impressionable in the morning as well as just before bedtime? This is precisely why you must control what infiltrates your mind.

 

Your mind is the workshop where you design the future.  Get decisive about the content you inundate there.  Sooner rather than later, you will behold a metamorphosis in your life.
